How I told Cy we were expecting - AGAIN!

14 July 2009:

I did a home pregnancy test, and it was positive (+)

15 July 2009:

Woke up, and did another home pregnancy test again, just to make sure. It was (+) again. Woo hoo! Time to tell Cy.

I had taken some photos and video clips of Evan during his weekly swim lessons. Well, I hadn't showed Cy the pictures or clips, so I figured, what better way to share the exciting news while he was viewing the pictures on the camera. We were having a lunch date on Wednesday, July 15th. At work, I made a powerpoint slide saying we're having a baby and tried to also include a picture of the pregnancy test showing it was positive. I then saved it as a picture, printed it and then took a snap shot of it. I know...complicated.

After eating Mexican food at Monterrey's next to my office, we started walking towards my office. Well, I thought this would be the perfect time to bust out the camera to show him those "swim pictures". He was super impressed with Evan and his swim lesson - the boy was jumping off the diving board all by himself! Then, came the picture of the slide I made. He was like, WHAT? What a minute...and squinted his eyes to read it and was like, ARE YOU SERIOUS? REALLY? OMG! Wow! Wow! Wow! We hugged each other and I think he was still in shock. Not as much so when I told him we were expecting Evan. But he was excited. I think Cy was on cloud nine!

So, thus begins the 9 month journey to carrying another baby. Just to be on the safe side, we told Evan about having a little baby after 11 weeks. He was super excited too!
